The identity shapeshifts as we live. We are always evolving through our surroundings, our teachings, and our communities. SAME AS U is a surrealist film that depicts an identity in transition—a goodbye letter to Brooklyn, NY and to the person I was there. Released on the day of the 2026 Chinese New Year, the film celebrates transformation: we transition, we shapeshift, and we continue forward as the person we are able to be in this moment. Exploring visual transitions and the way each frame connects to the next, the film acts as a visual metaphor.

EVERYTHING’S A LIE
Short Film, 2022

Everything’s a lie, so be true. Through the fast paced, traditionally drawn, and surrealistic animation sequences, the piece reflects the societal anxiety during the lockdown of 2020. An internal and colorful, yet eerie string of visuals— metaphorically project the many lessons learned while trapped inside the “bubble”. With mixed media spliced in— showing the current events and tragedies happening during that year, the animation panics alongside. An energetic soundtrack of Weeze’s sounds scores the build, lending to the knowledge of one's privilege, fears and creativity: Mixing and matching to compose an honest short film.

The dream is reality. While observing how the brain and eyes process the world, the contrast is both beautiful and strange. Living the same rituals over and over through the routines we create can feel repetitive—yet when our eyes are closed, repetition no longer exists. This idea is excuted through film, animation, and sound— together forming a shared world, shaped by experience, memory, and imagination within the eyes and mind of the artist.

Paper and Plastic Laura Wolf, Music Video , 2023

In collaboration with singer-songwriter and cellist Laura Wolf, the video explores her lyrical themes through drawn digital animation and super 8 family footage. The song tells the story of Wolf’s grandmother in the afterlife. As the suspense builds through eerie memories seen from the perspective of a flying moth, the visuals guide the viewer toward a reflective, spiritual journey. This marked the first official music video collaboration produced by Ambient Pasta Productions.

What If, Could Beteasea, Music Visualizer , 2023

Fuzzy, abstract animated loops for teasea’s What If, Could Be. This video piece is a playful creative puzzle—animating abstract loops while exploring color relationships and texture. By printing out frames to achieve a fuzzy, carpet-like effect, the video is designed to be mesmerizing without being obtrusive. The visuals allow the focus to remain on the song while gently stimulating the eye. Through pattern, movement, and subtlety, the visualizer grooves and elevates teasea’s shoegaze single for the eyes and ears.

Fit IntoAlexia Avina, Music Video , 2020

The relationship between you, the past, and the future. The music video for Fit Into explores the inner prison of the mind. Travelling between surreal, dreamlike live-action footage of Avina and stop-motion depictions of her childhood memories, we see her caught in a recurring conflict—looking back at the past while worrying about the future. The narrative is inspired by Avina’s struggle between modern society and nature. We invented the box; now we have to live in it.

Ambient Pasta

Ambient Pasta is a multi sensory event & production company. It’s creative community started in Brooklyn, NYC in 2022. Directed by Daniel & his brother, Tom - the company continues to grow community members - blossoming creative collaborations between intertwined mediums and senses. Through their passion for food, music, film, visual art and in-person experience, the project continues to create unique opportunities to connect and enjoy the arts.
